So I have recently discovered the art of sewing, hand sewing mainly as I am yet to invest in a sewing machine. I started off making basic things like an Ipad cover for my Mum, which she absolutely loved. I then began creating a patch work bolster cushion and after many weeks I have finally finished  (will post image when I get a filling for the cover). My next project was the hanging heart pictured above, which was really fulfilling for me to make. I have never done blanket stitching nor have I ever used felt before. I am pleased with the results. 2 more to make and they will be hanging above the bed in our bedroom.

I used a website called, Seamstar, they produce loads of bundles I currently have a bundle similar to the 'Strawberry Hill' bundle but I think my next purchase might be the 'Flower Sugar Green' however I don't have much need for Green fabric at the moment. I think I also bought most of my felt from their  (not that I can remember). I currently have lilac and cream felt in my collection.

When buying my fabric from Seamstar I stumbled upon, the Habdash tins and pots, which are perfect for gifts by the way for a budding craftsman. I bought the Habdash tin priced at £25.00 purely because I was a beginner and had no access to any haberdashery supplies. I have to say it was a bit of an impulse buy but I wouldn't be without it now and it is also ridiculously cute.
